In the Field: A Reiki Practice in the Metropolitan Area of Guadalajara

This article identifies Reiki as a system with a growing presence in the Metropolitan Area of Guadalajara. The research on this topic was conducted through ethnographic fieldwork based on a thick description. The studied case is described, outlining the relationship between the elements that make up the Reiki system and those of Marian Trinitarian Spiritualism observed in the Reiki Master. This aims to demonstrate how this case synthesizes two distinct traditions, although similar in certain aspects.
